Job summary

Medidata Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Manager, FP&A in New York for an established FP&A organization. You will partner with senior leadership to align financial plans with strategic goals and deliver critical insights for decision-making.

You will lead annual and long-range planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly plan vs. actual analyses, coordinating with Finance to guide monthly close and reporting. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and analytical rigor.

Qualifications

• Experience turning financial data into relevant insights that support sound decisions.
• Ability to build relationships across the organization and influence decision-making.
• Experience with FP&A and reporting tools.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint and financial modeling skills.
• Ability to adapt and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in expense forecasting, reporting and analysis for distribution and presentation to executive management.
• Analyze historical performance to understand trends and key drivers; recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Sales Ops and Product/R&D to gather reporting requirements.
• Streamline reporting across multiple systems to drive efficiencies and accuracy.
• Automate manual reporting through creating reports in Workday, Salesforce, Tableau, Drivetrain.
• Create KPIs to better understand the business and guide decision-making.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting and long-range planning.
• Track performance against plans and assist CFO with ad-hoc requests.
• Assist with annual budget and planning process.
• Synthesize complex financial analysis into actionable communications for decision-making.
