Job summary

CLM Search partners with a well-established manufacturing client to identify a finance professional who can influence decisions and enhance financial visibility within manufacturing operations.

You will work closely with plant leadership and senior business leaders to drive change, build budgeting models, and develop meaningful KPIs that connect operations to financial results.

Qualifications

• Finance/FP&A and cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, product costing and inventory.
• Ability to explain drivers behind financial results, not just numbers.
• Experience partnering with plant operations and manufacturing leadership.
• Advanced Excel and ability to work with multiple data sources.

Responsibilities

• Improve product costing and manufacturing profitability analysis.
• Analyze standard costs, price, volume, and variances.
• Build budgeting, forecasting, and financial models for decision making.
• Partner with operations to understand plant performance drivers.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and KPIs linking ops metrics to finances.

What You'll Be Working On

• Improve product costing and manufacturing profitability analysis.
• Analyze standard costs, price, volume, and manufacturing variances.
• Build budgeting, forecasting, and financial models to support decision making.
• Partner with operations to understand what's driving plant performance.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and KPIs that connect operational metrics with financial results.
• Support inventory costing, capital investments, and month-end financial analysis.
• Work through complex data from multiple systems to create meaningful analysis and recommendations.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

• Manufacturing finance experience with a mix of FP&A and cost accounting.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, product costing, inventory, and variance analysis.
• The ability to explain why financial results changed, not just report the numbers.
• Experience working closely with plant operations and manufacturing leadership.
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills. Experience working with multiple data sources is a plus.
• Automotive or another low-margin manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
