Job summary

Paraform, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a first dedicated FP&A hire to own end-to-end planning, budgeting, and forecasting. You will build the financial model, design processes, and drive capital allocation with leadership.

You will implement planning systems, own unit economics, and partner across GTM, Product, and Ops. This role blends finance, strategy, and operations at a fast-growing marketplace.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in FP&A, investment banking, or consulting in a high-growth tech environment.
• Experience building budget and planning processes from scratch.
• Demonstrated success selecting and implementing planning systems (Anaplan, Pigment, Adaptive).
• Strong grasp of marketplace and SaaS metrics (GMV, take rate, CAC/LTV, unit economics).
• You've built driver-based financial models from scratch and defend assumptions.
• Excel- and BI-native with ability to build clear dashboards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; partner with executives.
• Comfort with AI-driven automation and evolving finance tech.
• Thrives in ambiguity and fast-changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and budget end-to-end; build annual budget and run planning across revenue, OpEx, headcount, and cash.
• Create operating rhythm: planning calendar, budget vs. actuals, approvals, and monthly reviews.
• Own planning platform implementation from RFP to rollout; evaluate vendors and lead integration.
• Own marketplace economics data: GMV, revenue, take rates, and unit economics.
• Partner with GTM, Product, Engineering, and Ops as senior finance advisor.
• Prepare board decks, monthly reviews, and investor reporting.
• Improve gross margin and cash flow; coordinate revenue recognition with accounting.
• Explore AI-native FP&A and automation to scale processes.
