Job summary

Amtrak in Washington, DC is seeking a Sr Mgr Financial Planning & Analysis to serve as the principal finance partner for the Benefits organization and the Orion Transformation office. This role leads budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting, partnering with senior leaders to develop plans and deliver insights that support operations.

The role also supervises a team of finance professionals, develops KPIs, improves FP&A processes, and ensures data quality while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; 9+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with SAP or Hyperion.
• Strong ability to lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, reporting, variance analysis, presentations.
• Lead the team in the development and improvement of reporting dashboards.
• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Collaborate with business partners to develop KPIs and methodologies for tracking performance.
• Act as liaison between business support finance functions and finance leadership.
• Partner with accounting and cross‑functional stakeholders to improve FP&A processes and data quality.
• Lead and develop a team of finance professionals or senior analysts with coaching and performance feedback.
