Job summary

bp, via Archaea Energy, is seeking an Advisor, Finance to join the FP&A team in the United States. You will develop and maintain financial models to support business plans, valuations, forecasting, and management reporting, connecting commercial, operational and market drivers to financial outcomes.

The role supports Budget/GFO, LTP, latest estimates, MBR, and scenario analysis, reporting to the VP of FP&A.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related quantitative field.
• 10+ years FP&A, planning and performance management or related finance roles.
• Advanced Excel and planning system experience; ability to model complex scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve financial models for plans, forecasts, and reporting.
• Support Budget/GFO and Long-Term Plan with reports, templates, and insights.
• Co-manage Vena planning system data, validation, and outputs.
• Prepare Latest Estimates, coordinate timelines, and explain performance drivers.
• Challenge assumptions across production, pricing, costs, and capital.
• Translate drivers into financial outcomes, including risks and opportunities.
• Prepare management materials and variance analysis for leadership review.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Performance, ST&S, Accounting, Commercial, and ops teams.
