Job summary

Vermeer is seeking a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for the VMVS division. This role leads budgeting, forecasting, and financial systems integration to improve profitability across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting is required.
Minimum of ten years of experience in financial/cost accounting; manufacturing or public accounting background preferred.
Lean principles experience and ability to integrate financial attributes across the business.
Advanced knowledge of business systems, Excel, and data visualization/charting.
CPA or CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead annual business planning, budgeting, and execution for the VMVS division.
Oversee financial, IT, and business systems across multiple locations.
Conduct SWOT analyses of profitability by customers, products, and markets.
Coordinate month-end close activities to meet timelines.
Benchmark financials and identify ROCE improvement opportunities.
Maintain accounting controls and continuous improvement of processes.
Lead annual physical inventory and reconcile valuation of inventory.
Analyze productivity and costing to improve gross margin and decision making.
Collaborate with corporate finance to expand cross-business knowledge.
Integrate digital products and services to ensure seamless tooling across platforms.
