Job summary

Geron Corporation seeks a Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead strategic finance capabilities and deliver key insights. The role reports to the CFO and periodically works from the Parsippany, NJ headquarters.

The Senior Director will guide long-range planning, develop company valuation models, manage budgeting and forecasting, and support lifecycle decisions with rigorous financial analysis. Collaboration with executive leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
• Master's degree in finance or MBA preferred.
• 12+ years of finance leadership experience in biotech/pharma.
• Experience in publicly traded biotech company environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual long-range planning aligned with strategy.
• Develop valuation models and scenario analyses for leadership.
• Support cash runway analysis and capital formation strategy.
• Manage FP&A team in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Provide financial modeling and insights for lifecycle management and portfolio decisions.
• Support SOX documentation and audit processes with Finance & Accounting teams.
• Analyze business development opportunities from a financial perspective.
• Develop net sales forecasting and management reporting with commercial teams.
• Support operational needs and drive efficiencies in Finance.
• Provide ad-hoc decision support to Executive Leadership.
