Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead planning, evaluation of corporate initiatives, and drive strategic financial analysis in support of Senior Financial Management and Logistics leaders.

The role focuses on forecasting, branch performance analysis, and financial training for operations, with emphasis on cost improvements and accurate month-end close within a shared services framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field
• Minimum of 4 years Finance and/or Accounting experience
• Strong understanding of income statements and balance sheets
• Intermediate MS Excel skills: analyzing large data sets, vlookups/hlookups, pivot tables, filtering, waterfall charts

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis
• Operational Initiatives: identify opportunities for cost/productivity improvements with GLM/LM
• Month-End Closing: journal entries, variance explanations, and GL research
• Customer invoicing and revenue posting to GL; monitor monthly aging
• Provide financial training to operations staff on policies and tools
• SOX compliance audits and liaising with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting
