Job summary

CesiumAstro seeks a Senior FP&A Analyst for its Redondo Beach, CA team to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. The role partners with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales to deliver robust plans and analytics in a fast-growing startup environment.

You will build models, monitor variances, and develop dashboards that drive decisions and capital allocation across subsidiaries, including Jariet Technologies.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college.
• 5+ years of financial planning experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• In-office position in Redondo Beach, CA.
• Experience developing and implementing financial budgets and forecasts.
• Ability to analyze data and synthesize complexity into clarity for decision-making.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales and other departments.
• Enjoy wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Desire to contribute as the company grows with novel financial and business insights.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain financial models and detailed forecasts of future operations.
• Compare historical results against budgets and forecasts; perform variance analyses and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with Cesium Astro Finance Team, meeting deadlines and answering questions.
• Benchmark company data against industry peers and research key financial ratios.
• Evaluate ROI and capital allocation to optimize investments.
• Lead program budgets, EVMS, and ensure timely internal and external reporting.
• Assess potential programs and products for cost and profitability.
• Develop cost volumes, BOEs, and roll-ups for proposals (NREs/REs/materials).
• Prepare department budgets and forecasts and consolidate into corporate plans.
• Provide internal reports for executive leadership to support decision-making.
• Explore inorganic growth opportunities and map capex/investment plans.
• Generate three- to five-year financial forecasts.
• Extract Big Data sets and build analytics dashboards and metrics.
