Job summary

NextPower LLC in Fremont, CA, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team supporting the Service business unit. You will partner with Service leadership, Operations and Accounting to manage planning, forecasting and performance reporting, focusing on service revenue, margins and costs.

The role requires deep financial modeling, strong communication, and cross-functional collaboration to drive pricing decisions and cost efficiency for growth.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in finance and accounting including FP&A and performance analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA/CPA a plus.
• Prior Senior Financial Analyst or similar role supporting a business unit.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; SQL or similar data tools.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and cash flow relationships.
• Experience with NetSuite or ERP and planning tools like Hyperion or Anaplan.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to present results to leaders.
• Ability to work across functions and manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting, long-range planning and monthly forecasts for the Service business unit.
• Maintain the financial model and forecast revenue, gross margin, Opex and headcount; explain variances.
• Partner with Accounting and Service Operations on monthly close and accruals.
• Prepare monthly business reviews with performance metrics and recommendations.
• Analyze service contract profitability including labor, parts, subcontractors, and warranty costs.
• Support pricing, hardware and ARR contract proposals via financial modeling.
• Track staffing and operating costs; advise on resource needs as volume changes.
• Support cash flow planning including billing, collections, inventory, Capex and free cash flow.
• Improve reporting tools, system integrations and financial controls.
