Job summary

Matrix Finance and Accounting is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for its Seattle-area tech client to own cash flow forecasting, expense and headcount planning, and board reporting. You will drive the forecasting process from deal terms to the balance sheet and partner with teams to deliver executive-level insights.

You will build operating plans in Workday Adaptive Planning, analyze variances, and support end-to-end planning in a fast-growing SaaS environment, with exposure to revenue

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
• 3+ years in FP&A or other finance role, including experience inside a SaaS, Cloud, or similar technology business.
• Hands on experience with SaaS business models and how revenue recognition works across subscription and consumption-based contracts.
• Fluency in how the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement connect, plus experience building operating plans and department budgets against them.
• Advanced Excel, including scenario analysis and variance frameworks you've built yourself.

Responsibilities

• Own the quarterly cash flow forecast and the model behind it, from deal terms and billing schedules through to the balance sheet.
• Build and manage operating expense and headcount plans in Workday Adaptive Planning, and run plan-vs-actual reviews with budget owners across the company.
• Produce the quarterly executive deck and board and investor reporting.
• Support annual planning and the rolling forecast, and take on departments end to end.
