Job summary

Crunchyroll, LLC is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to support its global Merchandise lines. Reporting to the Director, FP&A, this role partners with Consumer Products, Home Entertainment, Collectibles and E-commerce to drive revenue growth and profitability.

You will manage monthly performance analysis, build financial models, and coordinate budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans. The ideal candidate combines strong modeling skills with business acumen and collaborative communication

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in highly analytical environments (e.g. FP&A, Accounting, Consumer Products).
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience with FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
• Experience analyzing revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and business performance drivers.
• Experience within consumer products, licensing, entertainment, retail, or e-commerce.
• Ability to interpret financial results and translate them into clear commercial insights.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, ideally with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Strong AI tool acumen and ability to drive business insight, analysis and modeling
• Experience using NetSuite, Adaptive, Board, or other enterprise software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans for the Merchandise lines of business.
• Build and maintain financial models covering revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, and inventory.
• Develop financial assumptions in partnership with business owners, including unit volumes, pricing, royalty rates, product costs, distribution costs, returns, markdowns, and product release timing.
• Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for new product launches, licensing arrangements, retail programs, and strategic investments.
• Ensure forecasts appropriately reflect product seasonality, release schedules, customer ordering patterns, and inventory lead times.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages covering actual performance against budget, forecast, and prior year.
• Produce clear variance analysis across revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, inventory, and contribution margin.
• Work closely with Accounting to support accurate and timely monthly and quarterly closes.
• Coordinate with Sony Pictures finance, sales, operations, and distribution stakeholders where responsibilities are shared across the companies.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve forecasting, reporting, and performance management processes.
