Crunchyroll is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis, to support its global Merchandise lines of business. Reporting to the Director, FP&A, this role will serve as a key finance partner to business leaders across Consumer Products, Home Entertainment, Collectibles and E-commerce.
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the full FP&A cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, performance analysis, and long-range planning. The role will help business owners understand financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and make informed decisions regarding revenue growth, product investment, inventory, profitability, and resource allocation.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial analysis and modeling capabilities with commercial curiosity and the ability to operate across licensing, retail, physical products, and direct-to-consumer business models. Experience with consumer products, entertainment, retail, or e-commerce would be particularly valuable.

You will handle the monthly analysis of actual business performance, working with accounting and business teams to consolidate and interpret financial information. With your excellent interpersonal skills, you will need to build strong relationships across all levels of the company. You will need to produce ad hoc analysis, and help drive efficiency and improvement across Finance and Accounting.
Lead and coordinate budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans for the Merchandise lines of business.
Build and maintain financial models covering revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, and inventory.
Develop financial assumptions in partnership with business owners, including unit volumes, pricing, royalty rates, product costs, distribution costs, returns, markdowns, and product release timing.
Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for new product launches, licensing arrangements, retail programs, and strategic investments.
Ensure forecasts appropriately reflect product seasonality, release schedules, customer ordering patterns, and inventory lead times.
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages covering actual performance against budget, forecast, and prior year.
Produce clear variance analysis across revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, inventory, and contribution margin.
Work closely with Accounting to support accurate and timely monthly and quarterly closes.
Coordinate with Sony Pictures finance, sales, operations, and distribution stakeholders where responsibilities are shared across the companies.
Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve forecasting, reporting, and performance management processes.
