Job summary

Performance Drone Works (PDW) seeks a Senior FP&A Analyst to own the integrated manufacturing model as the company scales operations and explores new verticals. You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Product, and Accounting to translate demand and launch plans into revenue, COGS, gross margin, and cash requirements, delivering executive-ready recommendations.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of FP&A or related analytical role; hardware/manufacturing exposure preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, engineering, or related field.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; driver-based models, scenario analyses, and integrated P&L/balance sheet/cash-flow outputs.
• Strong understanding of revenue, COGS, and gross margin drivers in manufacturing.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and recurring performance reporting in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate into practical decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Eligible to obtain US Secret security clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve a driver-based manufacturing model across existing operations and 5–7 new verticals.
• Translate forecasts, schedules, and launch plans into production-volume, ramp-rate, and capacity scenarios by product and vertical.
• Build revenue forecasts by product, program, customer, and vertical with unit volume, price, backlog, and delivery schedules.
• Model COGS and unit economics including labor, overhead, materials, scrap, and outsourcing.
• Develop gross-margin forecasts and isolate effects of volume, price, mix, and cost drivers.
• Link revenue and manufacturing plans to headcount, facilities, tooling, CapEx, inventory, and cash needs.
• Create repeatable templates for new verticals while preserving differences across markets.
• Support stage-gate investments, make-vs-buy, automation, supplier strategies, and facility expansion with analyses.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership to validate inputs and maintain a single source of truth.
• Lead annual planning and quarterly forecasts for revenue, production, COGS, gross margin, and cash.
• Establish recurring actual-to-model reviews and recalibrate forward assumptions.
• Develop dashboards and operating metrics for revenue, COGS, gross margin, inventory, and cash conversion.
• Collaborate with Accounting during close to reconcile data and understand accruals and cost trends.
• Prepare executive-ready analyses outlining assumptions, risks, and recommended actions.
