Job summary

National Life Group is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis professional to join our team in Montpelier, VT. The role focuses on financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting for Life and Annuity products, building cross-functional relationships across the organization.

The position supports an onsite hybrid schedule, four core days in the office, and a focus on data-driven decision making with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an applicable business field such as Finance, Accounting.
• 4-6 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the insurance industry, or financial services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, changing environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as participate effectively on teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to pass background check for securities license.

Responsibilities

• Monthly detailed expense analysis and timely reporting.
• Provide recommendations and pro-active solutions to address business needs.
• Leverage technology tools to automate and improve existing processes and reporting.
• Integrate benchmarking into analysis process to influence key business decisions.
• Metric design, reporting and analysis.
• Cost benefit analysis on strategic projects.
• Forecasting and planning for earnings and expenses.
• Assist with other finance related projects as needed.
