Luna Labs USA is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join during a growth period, blending forward-looking planning with reporting and support across government contracts and product lines.

The role builds forecasting models, dashboards, and analytical tools to guide leadership decisions, requiring strong Excel skills, collaboration, and clear communication with cross-functional teams. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 5-8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably with some government contracting exposure
• Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, XLOOKUP, complex formulas, array functions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to build financial models that are both analytically sound and usable by others
• Strong communication skills – explain sophisticated financial topics to non-finance stakeholders clearly
• Intellectual curiosity: ask why and what if, not just what
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracting regulations

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis across government contracts and commercial product lines
• Develop dashboards and performance reports for leadership visibility into business performance
• Analyze budget vs. actual variances and translate numbers into actionable insights
• Support strategic initiatives with financial analysis: new product investments, pricing decisions, resource allocation
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements; bring recommendations, not just observations
• Contribute to building dynamic budgeting and forecasting tools to improve planning cycles
• Perform general ledger revenue analysis and ensure alignment with revenue formulas in our financial system
• Reconcile general ledger revenue to unbilled amounts on the balance sheet
• Monitor indirect cost performance by department and ensure alignment with indirect rate structures
• Manage and contribute to implementation of the new budgeting and planning tool in our financial system
• Analyze indirect cost performance by department across monthly, year-to-date, and forecast periods
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Contracts, Project Management, and Senior Leadership to analyze data and communicate findings to stakeholders
