Job summary

Abbott in Alameda, California is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support Global Third-Party Manufacturing (TPM) Operations. You will consolidate TPM financial results and partner with finance, operations, engineering, and manufacturing teams to provide insights for performance and strategic decisions.

The role emphasizes forecasting accuracy, cost optimization, and capital/project expense planning, with frequent collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of FP&A, accounting, corporate finance, or related experience.
• Experience with forecasts, budgets, variance analyses, and management reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and analyze Global TPM financial results, including P&L, balance sheet, and capital reporting.
• Prepare month-end close deliverables, variance analyses, financial commentary, and forecast submissions.
• Support quarterly business reviews, annual planning processes, and long-range strategic financial plans.
• Partner with manufacturing sites to support standard cost setting activities and cost variance analysis.
• Analyze and forecast Gross Margin Initiatives (GMI) and ensure accurate incorporation into financial projections.
• Collaborate with TPM Operations and Engineering teams to develop capital and project expense forecasts.
• Conduct monthly reviews of capital and project spending, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance trends to business leaders.
• Coordinate and support fixed asset processes in partnership with operations and center of excellence teams.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
• Deliver actionable financial insights and perform ad hoc analyses to support business decision-making.
