Job summary

Thumbtack is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, CCO to partner with leaders across the business and support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic cost management. You will build robust financial models, analyze variances, and help guide decisions with data-driven insights.

The role requires 6+ years in FP&A or related fields, strong Excel/G-Suite skills, and experience with US GAAP or IFRS. Graveyard PST hours flexibility is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 6+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or management consulting experience.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills using Excel and G-Suite.
• Exposure to US GAAP or IFRS.
• Excellent problem solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Willingness to work a graveyard shift aligned with PST hours.

Responsibilities

• Drive monthly, annual forecasts and budgets for opex with variance analysis.
• Forecast and justify spending assumptions with stakeholders.
• Evaluate trade-offs and sensitivities for better decision making.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and visualization of data.
• Develop efficiency metrics to support growth and financial context.
• Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
• Reconcile headcount for the organization.
• Partner with business teams to develop cost management solutions.
• Support Sales in ensuring commission accuracy and alignment.
