Job summary

LCS is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst, Financial Planning in Des Moines, IA. The role centers on advanced financial analysis, managing forecast components, and partnering with stakeholders to drive decision-making. Expect ownership of forecast segments and ongoing model development.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in FP&A, strong Excel capabilities, and experience with planning systems such as Adaptive. The environment emphasizes collaboration, growth, and a commitment to community involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Economics, or related field.
• 2-4 years of FP&A or financial analysis experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and planning systems experience.
• Ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform forecast-to-forecast and forecast-to-actual variance analysis with explanations.
• Manage forecast assumptions and supporting schedules with limited oversight.
• Build and maintain financial models including scenario analyses.
• Develop and track KPIs for planning discussions.
• Prepare presentations and reporting packages for leadership review.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather inputs and explain results.
• Identify improvements to planning processes, reports, and templates.
• Support onboarding and guidance of junior analysts.
