Job summary

LCS (LCS Living) is seeking a Manager of Financial Planning in Des Moines to lead budgeting and forecasting for regions, translating standards into execution and partnering with regional teams. The role drives forecast cycles, validates assumptions, and ensures high-quality planning outputs.

With a focus on leadership, you will mentor staff, oversee allocation logic, and develop standardized planning templates while supporting tools training and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6 years of FP&A or financial planning with leadership or project responsibilities.
• Strong financial modeling and variance analysis skills.
• Advanced proficiency in planning tools and Excel.
• Experience leading, supervising, or managing staff.
• Strong understanding of financial planning, analytical frameworks and performance drivers.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budget development and ongoing forecast cycles for assigned regions.
• Manage the monthly forecast close, including data validation and variance analysis.
• Review forecast variances and challenge assumptions on occupancy, staffing and expenses.
• Oversee planning expense splits and allocation logic for consistency and accuracy.
• Model distributions and contributions and review outputs for reasonableness.
• Prepare and review budget packages, dashboards, and presentations for Regional Finance.
• Train and onboard new team members on systems, processes and standards.
• Monitor workload and staffing needs and advise on hiring or automation.
• Lead and manage a team including performance management and staff development.
