Job summary

Chugach Electric Association seeks a Home Financial Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst in Anchorage to support financial planning, forecasting and reporting. Expect rigorous analysis of balance sheets, income statements and cash flows, plus preparation of management presentations.

The role emphasizes budgeting, variance analysis and cross-functional collaboration, with travel for meetings and audits as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Economics, required.
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, required.
• Experience in a utility or union environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of financial reporting systems and processes.
• Assist with research and documentation of GAAP and FERC requirements.
• Prepare presentation materials for stakeholders and management.
• Provide support for audits.
• Develop budget status and financial reports for internal and external use.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with internal teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends in financial planning and analysis.
• Conduct variance analysis and identify drivers of performance.
• Provide training to team members and collaborate across departments.
