Job summary

P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Inc. seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst for our Global Support Center in Scottsdale, AZ. The role focuses on sales planning, cost of goods analysis, KPI development, and cross-functional FP&A partnerships to influence profitable growth.

Responsibilities include budgeting, long-range planning, executive-level reporting, and process automation. A strong financial systems background and 3+ years FP&A are required; restaurant/retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Requires 3+ years’ experience in FP&A, finance or a related area.
• Requires strong computer knowledge including financial systems and database applications such as Excel, Access, SQL, PowerPoint, data warehousing, data mining, business intelligence, and other systems.
• Experience with MicroStrategy, Adaptive Insights, and/or APT a plus.
• Ability to assimilate disparate systems to collect data in order to perform financial analysis.
• Demonstrated understanding of business operations including ability to analyze and perform root cause analysis on business trends and detailed data.
• Restaurant or Retail industry experience a plus.
• Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as identified and to assist with various ad hoc projects as needed.
• Ability to effectively communicate and present results to audiences at various levels throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Sales planning– Develop and drive the process and tools necessary to effectively compile weekly, monthly, and annual sales plans.
• Cost of Goods Analysis– Forecast demand with Purchasing; benchmark performance and evaluate financial impact of menu changes.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for food cost, waste, product usage and inventory performance.
• Business partnership– Collaborate with Marketing to measure financial impacts of promotions and pricing actions.
• Monthly forecast/annual budget/long-range plan oversight– Coordinate FP&A inputs to P&L planning; review reasonability.
• Executive communications– Organize FP&A inputs to create concise presentations for monthly results and risks.
• Process improvement– Develop tools and automate processes; implement improvements.
• Project support and ad hoc requests– Develop analyses for actionable insights.
