Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join the Finance Team. This role provides business analysis, forecasting, and financial support for the Distribution Segment across multiple locations, including Mexico branches.

The candidate should be self-starter, able to work independently, and comfortable in a distribution environment. Responsibilities include monthly cost/variance analysis, financial reporting, and support for budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting required.
• 5+ years of financial analysis and reconciliation experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and MS Office.
• Alteryx experience a plus.
• JD Edwards and Hyperion experience a plus.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct financial support for multiple locations, including Mexico Specialty branches and capital project tracking.
• Perform monthly cost and variance analysis.
• Complete assigned financial reporting needs.
• Support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
• Assist with internal and external audit activities.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses, reporting and project support as needed.
