Job summary

Symetra is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to oversee operating expenses, drive planning cycles, and deliver insightful reporting. You will own planning models and partner with business leaders to translate data into strategy.

The role supports budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, with flexible full-time or hybrid work. Requires 3+ years FP&A experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Excel and BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, business analytics, financial systems or operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Build deep relationships with multiple business leaders to foster collaboration.
Experience supporting, maintaining, or administering planning/budgeting/forecasting/reporting systems.
Anaplan model builder experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Creates meaningful reports and insightful analysis to inform decision making.
Leads plan and forecasts for operating expenses.
Planning systems administration, model maintenance, and enhancements.
Performs month end responsibilities, including accruals, allocations, and miscellaneous journal entries.
