Job summary

Symetra is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to oversee operating expenses, lead planning cycles, and deliver insightful reporting.

You will partner with business leaders to translate data into actions and maintain planning models supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. In this role you will create meaningful reports, manage plan and forecast for OPEX, and administer planning systems such as Anaplan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance or accounting.
• 3+ years in FP&A, finance, or analytics, preferably in insurance.
• Strong communication and storytelling with data.
• Experience with planning systems; Anaplan preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create reports and analyses to inform decisions.
• Lead plan and forecasts for operating expenses.
• Administer planning systems; maintain and enhance models.
• Perform month-end close activities including accruals and journal entries.
