Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. seeks a Sr. Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to analyze operational costs and profitability drivers, maintaining models and dashboards to support strategic decisions. The role collaborates across functions to forecast, budget, and communicate insights for the business unit.

The position requires reporting to the office regularly, with proximity within Carrollton, TX, and a focus on delivering data-driven recommendations to improve financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in engineering, finance and/or accounting.
• Five or more years of experience in finance or FP&A.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and with peers effectively and efficiently.
• Financial and cost analysis experience.
• Strong experience and skills with data management and Microsoft Excel advanced capabilities.
• Ability to review and interpret data, transactions, processes, and business practices.
• Effective use PowerPoint and other presentation tools to provide clarity and enable business decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all leadership levels.
• Ability to work in a diverse and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform the analysis of operational costs and profitability drivers to enable proactive decisions.
• Maintain Excel models to enable clear understanding of cost drivers and enable forecasts and budgets.
• Maintain financial models for forward-looking cost and profitability insights from a strategic planning perspective.
• Analyze KPIs to identify improvements and deviations from commitments and project execution issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new operational and system capabilities for cost/profitability management and forecasting.
• Maintain master budgets (annual operating and capital) and participate in the affirmation process.
• Maintain forecasting tools to produce future views and assumptions for leadership.
• Provide KPI and productivity analyses and input on improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
