Job summary

McLane Company, Inc is seeking a Sr. Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to drive cost and profitability insights across divisions.

You will build and maintain Excel-based models to forecast budgets and support strategic decisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable analyses. The role requires reporting to the office regularly within a 50-minute radius from Carrollton, TX and presenting findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in engineering, finance and/or accounting.
  • Five or more years of experience in finance or FP&A.
  • Effective collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with peers effectively and efficiently.
  • Financial and cost analysis experience.
  • Strong experience and skills with data management and Microsoft Excel advanced capabilities.
  • Ability to review and interpret data, transactions, processes, and business practices.
  • Effective use PowerPoint and other presentation tools to provide clarity and enable business decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all leadership levels.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the analysis of operational costs and profitability drivers to enable proactive decisions.
  • Maintain Excel models to enable clear understanding of cost drivers and forecasting.
  • Maintain financial models for forward-looking cost and profitability drivers.
  • Analyze KPIs and identify areas for improvement and deviations from commitments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cost and forecasting capabilities.
  • Maintain master budgets and participate in the affirmation process.
  • Maintain forecasting tools to provide future views for leadership.
  • Provide analysis on KPIs and productivity standards for improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Perform analysis of operational costs and profitability drivers. Support effective processes to analyze Key Performance Indicators that identify areas of improvement and proactive identification of deviations from commitments and project executional issues. Collaborates with cross-functional teams in the development of new operational and system capabilities related to cost and profitability management and forecasting. Creates and maintains dashboards and presentations to enable effective communication of financial insights. Provides analytical reports of critical data used in making decisions, which impact the overall profitability and success of the business unit.

This position will require the candidate to report and work from the office on a regular basis. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Carrollton, TX

What you'll do as a Sr. Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst:
  • Perform the analysis of operational costs and profitability drivers to enable proactive decisions that enable McLane Restaurant's sustainable financial performance in line with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain Excel models to enable clear understanding of cost drivers throughout the divisions and enable reliable forecasting and budgeting processes to support asserted business decisions.
  • Maintain financial models that enable a forward-looking understanding of cost and profitability drivers from a strategic planning perspective.
  • Support effective processes to analyze Key Performance Indicators that identify areas of improvement and proactive identification of deviations from commitments and project executional issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of new operational and system capabilities related to cost and profitability management and forecasting.
  • Maintain master budgets (annual operating and capital budgets) and participate in the affirmation process.
  • Maintain forecasting tools to produce future views and assumptions for leadership.
  • Provide analysis on Key Performance Indicators and productivity standards and provide input on improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
