Job summary

NEOGOV seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join its growing FP&A team in LA. You will collaborate with leaders to deliver accurate monthly financial and KPI reporting to the board, and help refine planning processes.

Based in the LA area with monthly in-office work in El Segundo, you will participate in forecasting, budgeting, and pricing discussions, and drive automation of reporting tools to enable data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• 3+ years FP&A or related finance experience.
• Strong Excel and financial statement knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly financial statements and KPIs for executives and the board of directors.
• Conduct variance analyses to identify key performance drivers and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track the financial impact of business initiatives (Sales, Ops, Product, Marketing).
• Support month-end and quarter-end close with Accounting to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes by automating workflows and optimizing reporting tools.

We're seeking a driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing FP&A team. In this role, you will collaborate with leaders across the organization to facilitate smooth execution of strategic objectives and deliver accurate monthly financial and KPI reporting to our board of directors.
Our FP&A team provides in-depth financial insights by overseeing reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and pricing. Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, the Financial Analyst will play a crucial part in refining and scaling our financial planning processes and delivering actionable data-driven insights.

What You Will do

• Prepare and present monthly financial statements and KPIs for executives and the board of directors
• Conduct and interpret variance analyses to identify key performance drivers and propose corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Customer Operations, Product, Marketing) to gather inputs and track the financial impact of business initiatives
• Support the month-end and quarter-end close processes by partnering with Accounting to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes by implementing best practices, automating workflows, and optimizing reporting tools

What you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• Strong Excel skills and solid understanding of financial statements
• Familiarity with essential SaaS metrics
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, or Corporate/Investment Banking
• Exposure to Salesforce, NetSuite, and/or Tableau is a plus
