Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst in Alexandria, VA. The Senior FP&A Analyst will play a key role in supporting the organization's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making processes. This position will partner closely with Finance and operational leadership to provide financial analysis, reporting, modeling, and insights that support business performance and long-term planning.

• Lead and support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including preparation of financial models, schedules, and presentations
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, forecasting, scenario analysis, and business decisions
• Analyze actual results compared to budget and forecast, identifying key variances, trends, risks, and opportunities
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reporting and management presentations for senior leadership
• Partner with department leaders to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
• Provide financial analysis related to revenue, expenses, headcount, staffing, and operating performance
• Develop financial models and conduct what-if and sensitivity analyses to support strategic initiatives
• Assist with long-range financial planning and multi-year forecasting
• Monitor key financial and operational metrics and provide recommendations to improve financial performance
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and research to support executive and management decision‑making
• Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate financial data and a clear understanding of actual results
• Support month‑end and quarter‑end reporting processes by analyzing financial results and preparing variance explanations
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and forecasting methodologies

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of budget and forecasting analysis experience
• Experience with either Costpoint and/or OneStream
• Experience owning the process for indirect rates and/or Incurred Cost Submissions
• Ability to build financial models from the ground up and be a self‑starter
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
