Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Houston, TX to join a client-facing finance team. This role offers a hybrid schedule, competitive compensation, and bonus potential. You will partner with FP&A, accounting, and operations to drive financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of FP&A experience, strong modeling skills, and knowledge of US GAAP. Proficiency in Oracle EPM or ERP systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Financial Analysis.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and modeling.
• Experience communicating financials to non-financial stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close analysis, actual vs. budget/forecast, and variance reviews.
• Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses for strategic decisions.
• Analyze revenue, margins, expenses, and working capital trends.
• Partner with operations to identify risks, opportunities, and cost saves.
• Present monthly reviews, KPIs, and executive financials to leadership.
• Support pricing, capex, and investment analyses with business cases.
• Drive process improvements in reporting and planning.
• Coordinate revenue recognition and SOX controls with teams.
• Assist internal/external audits as needed.

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in the Houston, TX area who is searching for a talented and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join their innovative team. This role is a true direct hire position which offers competitive compensation plus bonus, excellent benefits and working a hybrid schedule.

• Serve as the primary FP&A business partner supporting the Repair and U.S. Marine & Construction businesses
• Lead the monthly financial close analysis, including detailed actual-to-budget, actual-to-forecast, and prior-year variance analysis.
• Prepare, coordinate, and maintain annual operating budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans
• Develop meaningful financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic business decisions and operational initiatives
• Analyze revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, working capital, and profitability trends while providing actionable recommendations to leadership
• Partner with operations to identify risks, opportunities, and cost improvement initiatives that enhance financial performance
• Prepare and present monthly business reviews, KPI reporting, and executive financial presentations
• Support pricing, capital expenditure, and investment analyses through financial modeling and business case development
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations by streamlining reporting and planning processes
• Coordinate accurate revenue recognition and ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies and internal controls
• Support internal and external audit activities while maintaining SOX compliance
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Sales, and Corporate Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting and planning
• Participate in special projects, strategic initiatives, and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• CMA, MBA, or CPA a plus
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, or Financial Analysis
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and management reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with Oracle EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) or other Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) planning and forecasting systems a plus
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or Oracle Cloud a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
