Job summary

BCI Solutions, Inc. in Bremen, Indiana seeks a proven foundry technical leader to own the metallurgical direction of our gray and ductile iron foundry.

You will optimize green sand systems, melting, pouring, and process control, lead defect investigations, and drive improvements in quality, yield, scrap, and process consistency. Collaboration with operations, quality, engineering, and maintenance is essential to advance our capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of cast iron foundry experience.
• Minimum 3 years of green sand experience.
• Strong understanding of cast iron metallurgy, melting, molding, and process control.
• Demonstrated success solving foundry quality and production challenges.
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to relocate to or reside within commuting distance of Bremen, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Lead the metallurgical and technical direction of our gray and ductile iron foundry.
• Own and optimize green sand systems, melting, pouring, and process control.
• Lead casting defect investigations and root cause analysis.
• Drive improvements in quality, yield, scrap, and process consistency.
• Support new product launches, quoting, and process development.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to solve complex foundry problems.
• Develop technical standards and strengthen foundry knowledge across the organization.
