Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to improve security, release reliability, maintainability, and resilience of critical banking apps in Tampa, FL. 70% hands-on coding and config work; you will lead complex remediation, test automation, and modernization initiatives across Java, Spring, Node.js, and container platforms.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of professional software engineering experience with production code or configurations.
• Hands-on development of production applications within the last 12–18 months.
• Strong Java and JVM development skills; TypeScript is highly valued for Node.js environments.
• Experience with Spring or similar enterprise frameworks and automated testing.
• Proven ability to build/maintain CI/CD pipelines and secure deployments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to resolve testing, security, release, and resilience issues.
• Review code, dependencies, configurations, deployments, logs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write, debug, test, and enhance production code and configurations.
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and deployment tests.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, and deployment validation.
• Containerize applications with Docker and deploy on OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms.
• Lead defined technical workstreams from analysis through deployment and stabilization.
• Communicate progress and decisions to stakeholders and client teams.
