Job summary

Luxoft in Irving, TX seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to strengthen security, release reliability, and modernization of banking applications. You will lead hands-on engagements, implement secure remediation, and improve CI/CD, observability, and resilience patterns across client teams.

Responsibilities include collaborating with development and security stakeholders, containerizing apps with Docker/OpenShift, upgrading runtimes, and guiding adoption of best practices in testing and deployment,

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of hands-on software development experience in production systems.
• Experience with Java and JVM, plus TypeScript for Node.js environments.
• Proficiency in Spring and related enterprise frameworks.
• Strong skills in automated testing and multiple test frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and deployment.
• Knowledge of secure coding and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience upgrading runtimes, frameworks, libraries, and OS.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized delivery.
• Working knowledge of OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Proficient with Git, branching, PRs, and code reviews.
• Troubleshooting using SQL, logs, metrics, traces, and monitoring tools.
• Understanding observability, logging, health checks, and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to resolve testing, security, release, and resilience issues.
• Review code, dependencies, runtime configs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write, debug, and enhance production code and configurations.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, and deployment validation.
• Support modernization of legacy apps and middleware.
• Containerize applications and deploy on OpenShift.
• Improve Git workflows and code review processes.
• Automate database changes with Liquibase or similar.
• Document solutions and transfer knowledge to teams.
• Own a technical workstream from assessment to stabilization.
