Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to drive end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, automate cloud infrastructure, and enforce security as code across deployments. You will collaborate with development, QA, security, and governance teams to deliver scalable, reliable systems.

Role emphasizes automation, container orchestration with Kubernetes/OpenShift, and building robust monitoring and incident response processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field with practical software development and maintenance experience.
Experience building and maintaining enterprise CI/CD pipelines and automation.
Strong scripting abilities in Python or Bash and familiarity with security practices in CI/CD.

Responsibilities

CI/CD pipeline development, deployment automation, and maintenance.
Infrastructure provisioning and management on cloud platforms using IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
Automating manual processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response for production systems.
Implementing security as code across pipelines and infrastructure.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Dev, QA, App Security, and Governance.
Containerization and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
System enhancements through coding, testing, and documentation.
Data collection and analysis to scope work and estimate timelines.
Providing technical support and on-call coverage.
