Job summary

Luxoft seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to boost security, release reliability, and operational resilience for business-critical banking applications. You will partner with development teams to remediate vulnerabilities, automate tests, and modernize legacy stacks.

70% of work is hands‑on coding and configuration. You will upgrade Java/NPM runtimes, modernize Spring, containerize with Docker, and enhance CI/CD pipelines with robust observability.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of professional software engineering, with recent hands‑on production work.
• Experience upgrading runtimes, frameworks, and operating systems; security practices a must.
• Able to own a technical workstream from assessment to stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues in testing, security, release, deployment, resilience, and legacy tech.
• Review code, dependencies, runtime configs, deployment processes, logs, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write, debug, test, review, and enhance production code and configurations.
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and deployment tests.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, deployment validation, and rollback procedures.
• Containerize applications with Docker and deploy on OpenShift or similar platforms.
• Support modernization of legacy applications and middleware stacks.
