Job summary

Luxoft is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to strengthen security, reliability, maintainability, and resilience of banking applications in client environments. You will lead hands-on engagements with development teams, writing and reviewing production code.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on software engineering experience with production-grade Java applications in enterprise settings.
• Active coding and debugging in Java/JVM; TypeScript is valued for Node.js projects.
• Experience with TDD, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong security remediation and dependency-risk analysis capabilities.
• Proficient in modernizing Java enterprise apps and container platforms.
• Excellent client-facing communication and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead targeted engagements addressing security, testing, release, resilience, and legacy technology challenges with development teams.
• Assess application code, dependencies, runtime environment, test coverage, deployment architecture, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational risks.
• Write, debug, review, and enhance production-quality code and configuration throughout engagements.
• Define and implement modernization and remediation plans with clear priorities, dependencies, risks, and measurable outcomes.
• Develop or improve unit, integration, component, contract, and deployment tests using TDD; drive test automation in CI/CD.
• Select appropriate automation-testing approaches per application and drive implementation, including AI coding assistance.
