Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a senior software engineer to spearhead complex deployments and architect enterprise-grade cloud and Android solutions. You will work directly with enterprise customers to resolve high-stakes challenges and drive product success, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires at least 3 days on-site in Holtsville, NY or Lincolnshire, IL, with 2 days remote (US).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
• Experience with full-stack cloud solutions.
• Proactive ability to diagnose bugs and write real-time code to resolve challenges.

Responsibilities

• Establishes requirements for moderately complex software design projects.
• Leads and participates in code reviews, addressing issues early in development.
• Develops and tests comprehensive documentation for software projects.
• Explores latest technologies to enhance software design and implementation.
• Reviews and refines existing software or firmware designs for optimization.
• Provides recommendations to solve technical problems across domains.
• Mentors junior team members and engages with stakeholders.
• Travel up to 25%.
