Job summary

Accenture Security is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead technical design and review on client engagements. You will work in the identity platform space, shaping how systems authenticate, authorize, and interact across services.

You will be in a senior role, guiding engineers, evaluating make-versus-buy options, and prototyping against evolving standards. Travel to client sites is possible as engagements require.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on work in the last 24 months: development, prototyping, code review, or design review.
• 4+ years in Python, Go, Rust, TS, Java, or C++.
• 4+ years designing concurrent or distributed systems in production.
• 3+ years deploying cloud infra (AWS/Azure/GCP) with containers and CI/CD.
• 2+ years leading at least 2 engineers with design review responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design for engagements and justify choices when wrong.
• Review implementation in the agentic identity stack and prototype where needed.
• Set technical direction and review engineers' code on engagements.
• Reverse-engineer identity behavior in client environments and design a better model.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions and document them for project handover.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas where docs are absent.
• Create reference implementations and technical content for the practice.
• Develop and mentor engineers by working alongside them on projects.
