Job summary

OpenLoop is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer to own client deployments and architect AI-enabled solutions. You will embed with client engineering teams, build in their codebase against our Partner API, and create reusable assets that scale across clients.

You will design AI agentic workflows, set platform conventions, and guide teams on where to focus improvements. Ideal candidates have a strong track record in API design, security-minded delivery, and end-to-end ownership of complex

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering delivering for external customers or partners.
• Proven end-to-end ownership of complex customer-facing deliveries.
• Strong integration engineering depth: API design, auth, webhooks, idempotency, pagination.

Responsibilities

• Build for clients in their codebase, using OpenLoop's Partner API and file platform gaps.
• Develop AI SDKs and agentic solutions with backend/frontend systems and docs.
• Architect and own the AI-assisted deployment processes and agent roster.
• Improve OpenLoop's API with shared recipes, manifests, and conformance checks.
• Turn client asks into phased, defensible plans with clear scope boundaries.
• Maintain change discipline: prevent breaking live clients, propose safe alternatives.
• Be the credible technical voice to clients and internal teams, guiding timelines.
