Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) for Financial Services in Philadelphia, PA.

You will work with customers to build and productionize data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform, owning architecture, leading design decisions, and delivering end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and app development. This hands-on, customer-facing role requires engineering excellence, adaptability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
• Deep experience with Apache Spark and Spark runtime internals.
• Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Experience with MLOps, ML/AI models and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade customer projects, delivering end-to-end data and AI solutions on Databricks.
• Design reference architectures, data ingestion, and model integration for production.
• Guide architecture decisions with customers to ensure secure, scalable implementations.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and client teams to meet commitments.
• Embed with customer teams to drive adoption and measurable outcomes.
