Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Engineering Manager to lead multiple pods of Forward Deployed Engineers across strategic enterprise customers. You will define the delivery model, establish engineering standards, and shape the talent strategy for the FDE practice at scale.

This role drives organizational outcomes, sets technical direction, and ensures measurable business impact across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the FDE delivery organization across multiple customer engagements and pods. Staff and structure teams for optimal coverage and define engagement models and delivery cadences.
• Define the technical direction for complex AI programs across the organization and align with adjacent AWS teams; influence strategic decisions at senior levels.
• Define operational standards and production readiness criteria for AI systems across the organization; drive improvements to maintain high operational excellence.
• Hire, develop, and retain FDE talent; coach FDE Managers; manage performance and succession; build a scalable talent pipeline.

Education
