Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineering Manager to lead 15–30+ engineers across strategic enterprise customers, defining delivery models, standards, and talent strategy for the FDE practice at scale.

This role requires a US Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph; you will shape technical direction, scale the team, and drive measurable business impact across the portfolio while travelling up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience, including 15+ engineers.
• 8+ years leading design/architecture of large-scale production systems.
• Experience defining technical strategy across multiple programs or customer engagements.
• Experience communicating strategy to VP/C-suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead the FDE delivery organization across multiple engagements with up to 25% travel.
• Define technical strategy and standards for complex AI programs.
• Own production excellence and readiness criteria.
• Hire, develop, and retain FDE talent; coach managers.
• Identify opportunities to expand AI adoption and influence roadmaps.
