Job summary

SmartLogix is seeking a Senior Network & Cybersecurity Architect – Fortinet to lead assessment, design, modernization, implementation, and migration of enterprise data center network and security infrastructure. Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise networking, cybersecurity, or Data Center infra.
• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Cybersecurity or equivalent.
• Hands-on FortiGate & Fortinet solutions experience.
• Experience with enterprise switching, routing, VLANs, segmentation, redundancy, HA.
• Experience configuring FortiGate policies, routing, and VDOMs.
• Experience implementing ZTNA and/or IPSec VPN solutions.
• Experience supporting migrations in production environments.
• Strong technical documentation and architecture design experience.
• Ability to lead technical decisions while remaining hands-on.
• Availability for after-hours production activities when required.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing network and security environments and design scalable target-state architectures.
• Implement and optimize enterprise routing, switching, segmentation, redundancy, and high-availability solutions.
• Configure and manage Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, VDOMs, security policies, firmware upgrades, and secure remote access solutions.
• Lead infrastructure migration projects, including testing, validation, rollback planning, and production support.
• Troubleshoot complex network and cybersecurity issues while ensuring operational stability and security compliance.
• Produce technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to customer IT teams.
