Job summary

Our client is looking for an innovative and experienced Formulation Development Scientist to join their Research & Development team in East London. This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing pharmaceutical formulations for both new and existing products, ensuring stability, efficacy, and manufacturability.

You will work with a variety of dosage forms and play a key part in the drug development lifecycle, from pre-formulation studies to scale-up support, contributing to tangible

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Proficiency in developing and characterizing various dosage forms.
• Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, dissolution testing, and physical characterization.
• Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements for drug product development.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments for the development of various dosage forms (e.g., tablets, capsules, injectables).
• Perform pre-formulation studies, including characterization of APIs and excipients.
• Optimize formulations to achieve desired drug release profiles, stability, and bioavailability.
• Develop and validate analytical methods for testing formulated products.
• Provide technical support during technology transfer and scale-up activities to manufacturing.
• Document all research activities, experimental results, and conclusions in detailed reports.
