Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Formulation Chemist for an onsite Orangeburg, NY role. The candidate will formulate new products, analyze chemical compositions, and develop production processes while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality.

This senior position requires 5+ years in formulation development or scale-up and 3+ years in manufacturing. Work includes collaboration with procurement, process engineering, and R&D to deliver scalable, well-documented changes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in formulation development or scale-up.
• More than 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Produce lab-scale and production-scale new and/or customer formulations.
• Source materials compatible with product design, regulatory requirements, and process capabilities.
• Collaborate with process engineering to design scalable processes for existing equipment.
• Deliver well-documented design control meeting regulatory requirements.
• Maintain compliance with GMP/GLP, health and safety requirements.
• Perform chemical testing using microscopy, FTIR, viscosity, pH, and related techniques.
