Job summary

Precision Castparts in Carson City is seeking an Experienced Forklift Operator to keep materials flowing and the yard safe. You will load and unload trucks, move industrial materials, and support multiple plant departments in a fast-paced environment.

You will operate forklifts daily, stage materials for loading, and ensure safety and efficiency across receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas. Prior forklift experience and a strong safety mindset are essential, with the ability to work

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of recent, regular forklift operating experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or yard settings.
• Experience loading/unloading trucks and trailers with a forklift.
• Ability to judge load size, weight distribution, clearance, and equipment positioning.
• Strong depth perception and hand-eye coordination; safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move, stage, load, unload, organize materials, supplies, equipment, and scrap.
• Load/unload trucks, trailers, vendor deliveries, and other vehicles.
• Transport materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas.
• Safely handle pallets, drums, totes, chemical containers, and other industrial materials.
• Complete required inspections and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and internal departments.
• Maintain clear forklift routes and designated storage locations.
• Record receiving, inventory, and material-movement transactions in company systems.
