Job summary

Ingram Micro Inc. is seeking a Sr. Equipment Operator to support warehouse and distribution center operations. You will operate gas- and electric-powered forklifts to move materials and support shipping/receiving while ensuring inventory accuracy and adherence to safety procedures.

The role emphasizes independent work, attention to detail, and the ability to mentor less experienced teammates in a fast-paced environment. Associates or better with required forklift certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain and maintain certification.
• Experience operating forklifts in warehouse/distribution/manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling, shipping/receiving, and inventory processes.
• Ability to safely operate gas- and/or electric-powered forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy and workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and resolve operational issues.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to provide guidance or mentorship to less experienced team members.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other equipment to move, load, unload, stack, and transport materials.
• Load and unload materials from transportation vehicles.
• Move materials between warehouse locations while maintaining safe product flow.
• Perform forklift and equipment safety inspections before use.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies including OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain accurate inventory and report discrepancies.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, staging, and replenishment as needed.
• Provide training or guidance to less experienced team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiency.
• Resolve non-routine issues with independent judgment.
