Job summary

F&W Forestry is seeking an experienced forest manager to oversee an existing portfolio of clients’ forests and estate woodlands and grow this portfolio with new woodland creation. You will have sound forestry knowledge and familiarity with relevant UK legislation and commercial practices.

You will work independently within a professional management team, using GIS and strong communication skills to manage budgets, plans, contracts, and health and safety across diverse properties.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in forest management or related field.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Good knowledge of current UK forestry practices and legislation.
• Proven track record in forest management with ability to own properties and manage workloads.

Responsibilities

• Undertake forest management and woodland establishment on varied properties.
• Budgeting, operations planning and implementation.
• Contract management and supervision of projects.
• Grant applications and health and safety management.
