Job summary

Fastmarkets seeks a seasoned Head of Forest Products Consultancy to lead and scale our global advisory business in the pulp, paper, and packaging value chain. You will own strategy, client development, and revenue generation, building a high-impact US consultancy team and driving cross-border engagements.

You will shape delivery frameworks, oversee complex engagements, and partner with analysts to produce market-leading insights and client-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Seasoned consultant with forest products expertise and a track record in advisory work.
• Experience building or scaling a consulting practice or business line in forest products.
• Demonstrated ability to win, manage, and deliver strategic projects for clients.
• Strong knowledge of global pulp, paper, and packaging markets and value chains.
• Proven leadership of senior-level client engagements and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in complex solution selling and multi-project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Act as principal lead for forest products consultancy engagements globally across pulp, paper, and packaging markets.
• Win, execute, and manage a range of strategic consulting projects, collaborating with delivery teams.
• Oversee delivery quality, research, data collection, and modelling for client engagements.
• Position the practice as a leading alternative to major firms.
• Build and develop a high-performing US consultancy team.
• Establish scalable processes and methodologies for delivery.
• Foster a high-performance, client-focused consulting culture.
• Lead development of market insights, reports, and client-facing thought leadership.
• Translate market dynamics into actionable commercial strategies for clients.
• Own and drive consultancy sales and revenue growth across North America and global accounts.
• Develop and convert new consultancy opportunities with PRA and external clients.
• Build a strong pipeline of project-based and retainer engagements.
• Work with commercial teams to integrate consultancy offerings into client relationships.
• Develop and grow existing client relationships and win repeat business.
• Forecasting and CRM reporting.
• Represent the business at industry events and conferences.
• Utilise networks to surface opportunities and source independent contractors.
