Qualifications

• Three+ years of experience in forestry, silviculture, or analytics; equivalent combinations considered.
• Knowledge of southern pine silviculture, regeneration, genetics, vegetation management, and investment returns.
• Familiarity with GIS, forest operations, procurement, and timber marketing; growth/yield modeling desirable.
• Strong analytical skills including discounted cash flow and scenario modeling; ability to develop business cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and analytical support for silvicultural practices and operational performance.
• Translate business objectives into analyses, recommendations, and decision-support tools.
• Evaluate investments and technologies using financial and operational analysis.
• Utilize GIS and forest data to improve decision-making and performance.
• Identify and support deployment of innovative forest management practices and technologies.
• Support procurement, RFP activities, supplier evaluation, and risk management.
• Coordinate research cooperatives, trials, data collection, and implementation of findings.
• Provide analytical support for forest resource planning, harvest planning, and financial performance.
• Support acquisitions, due diligence, and strategic business initiatives.
• Contribute to compliance with certification standards and safety culture.
